We were asked to design a structure that had to satisfy three needs- a study/library, a workshop suitable for a glass artist and somewhere to keep all the garden miscellany for two very keen gardeners. And it had to be very warm because the client had lived in the tropics.
The L shaped design satisfied all requirements. The workshop has height and lots of light with a large arched window forming a delightful focal point for the garden path. The library/study has ample space for working and for the library of 800 books and it is so well insulated only a small heater is required.
Tucked into the far left corner of the L shape behind the glass studio is the 8ft x 6ft garden store. A very neat arrangement!
